Ginny Weasley - "Seems silly, doesn't it? A wedding. Given everything that's going on".
Harry Potter - "Maybe that's the reason to have it. Because of everything that's going on".
The UK is in a middle of a pandemic, we are being threatened by the possibility of another lockdown to try and slow COVID-19 down and weddings have been reduced to 15 people. Being a wedding photographer is hard right now, I went from 27 weddings booked, too just 4 going ahead with no government support. Deflation took over and I cut this year off and got a job.
However, it is not all doom and gloom!
15 guests at a wedding is pretty perfect for small and intimate celebrations and elopements, that are honestly just as beautiful.
I absolutely adore elopements, why not run away to the Cornish coast with the love of your life and be wild and free?!
Well that is exactly what Rebecca & Stirling did!
After a planning their Cornish wedding of an all day celebration at Knightor Winery in St Austell, this was snatched away from them by lockdown. So they decided to elope from Sheffield to the North Cornish coast, for an intimate ceremony with just their folks at The Headland Hotel, followed by some wonderful windy moments at Little Fistral Beach.
This had been my first wedding since March and I was so excited to get back at it, even if the face mask meant my viewfinder fogged up.
