A St Michael's Mount Wedding | Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Updated: Mar 13, 2023

One Couple, Two ceremonies, Four venues
and a whole lot of champagne!

This was definitely a day I will never forget!

I headed south on a sunny morning in June, all the way to Penzance. Tucked down a country road over looking St Michael's Mount and Mounts Bay, Rebecca was getting ready at her parents house. I parked up at the field just further along where the party was later. Bucks fizz was being poured, flower garlands were going up, chairs from the marquee were being collected and hair and make up was in full swing.

It was Mazey Day Parade in Penzance and our next stop was the town hall in the heart of the celebrations. We piled into cars as parking would be tight but we made the 11am slot to meet Jamie at the end of the aisle with close family witnessing the ceremony. Greeted afterwards by a local folk group serenading Jamie and Rebecca as they descended the steps of the town hall where the Mazey Day Parade surrounded the streets of Penzance.

Next stop we headed to the gorgeous sea front venue, The Goldolphin, where the celebrations started and we dodged the rain and beat the incoming tide for some epic beach shots!

It was then time to head back to the house and get ready for ceremony number two! Friends and extended family flooded the house and lawn as we set up the chairs for the garden ceremony over looking The Mount. The wedding party danced down the aisle and the Jamie's sister began the sharing cup ceremony.

However, the rain had other ideas, so we all grab our detachable seat cushions and ran inside and waited for the shower to pass.

Take two - we were on to a winner!

Now onto our final destination, grab your chairs and walk down the road to the tipi in the field. After a few photos submerged amongst the purple flowers, it was time for dinner, speeches and a whole heap of champagne, shots and dancing!

These guys definitely smashed the DIY wedding - it was EPIC.
